WebAug 24, 2012 · When I replaced the diff fluids in my '04 350 DRW, I replaced with AMSOIL Severe Gear 75-140 for the rear and Severe Gear 75-90 for the front. I purchased the Limited Slip modifier as well but didn't use any. I'm a believer that you should replace the oil and test drive it first to see if the modifier is needed before just dumping some in there. The front axle has no clutches so it doesn't matter if the oil has any specific additive packages or not. Any 75-90 GL5 will be fine. The front axle is as low tech as it gets. If I had a 4x4, I would prefer to use 75w90 synthetic gear lube in the front diff.
